Does that make sense? Farewell but not goodbye?
Life has been one big whirlwind for me this past three months. Lots was happening, and then my mother in law passed away. Everything changed for me in that moment, although I didn't know it yet.
In the past month I've been cleaning and taking care of business with my husband - all matters relating to her estate, and taking care of mail, selling and giving away nick nacks, deciding who to call, who to write and so forth.
It is a full time job, and emotionally draining.
K however, has been doing great. We still continue to go swimming, hiking and to the zoo, and generally keep each other company while Hubby works.
The homestudy is on hold - I've still got Christmas decorations up in my home, and now I've got lots of boxes and misc items to sort through - not at all child proofed' from a caseworker perspective. Right now my mind is on other matters. I'm sure we'll get back to the homestudy in weeks or months to come, but for today, it is on hold.
If you've been following my weight, I'm holding steady at 160, but continuing to loose inches via my workouts. As soon as I give up those lattes I'll really be heading in the right direction!
With my life being so busy I can't keep up with the blogging, and so I say farewell to you. It isn't goodbye as I still will be chiming in from time to time as a reader.
I've loved blogging here, but my life has unexpectedly taken a different turn, and I must follow the new path.
Thank you to Nancy my editor, Kelly my new replacement. And to Sandra - co-blogger on older parent blog who kept me thinking about world matters, and inspired me to become a better writer.
Thanks to all the readers and the other bloggers on adoption.com.
See you in Blogland!
