I’ve said it before that getting sick is no way to loose weight. But I am and I am and that’s why I missed my weight loss update yesterday.

It may be strep throat or at least a bad sore throat.

Yuk.

K is also sick, and Hubby is fighting it off. I tried to fight it off as well, but Mommy is the one who get sneezed on the most.

I do not think I’ll get well enough by tomorrow to get my long list of things done before Christmas. Saturday was the big day for Hubby to watch K so I could run errands. Oh well, so what is, is just good enough.

I think that about getting older – I am more gentle with myself and able to let things go. Do you hear that family? I am letting some things go!

What's the Difference Between Strep Throat and a Sore Throat?

Not all sore throats are step throats. Most episodes of sore throat - which can be accompanied by a runny nose, cough, hoarseness, and red eyes - are caused by viruses. Sore throats usually clear up on their own without requiring medical treatment.

If your child has strep throat, he or she will start to develop other symptoms within about 3 days. Those symptoms can include:

• red and white patches in the throat
• difficulty swallowing
• tender or swollen glands (lymph nodes) in the neck
• red and enlarged tonsils
• headache
• lower stomach pain
• fever
• general discomfort, uneasiness, or ill feeling
• loss of appetite and nausea
• rash

Ok, I think we just have colds and sore throats. That’s good.
