Well, it sort of fits. Obviously I can get
the dress on, and other people might wear it, but it is pretty tight.
I've got one of those pieces of clothing that squeeze and push and lift and pull - that I'll put on Saturday and then try the dress again.
I may be able to wear it.
You see I've got hips.
Dr Oz. says the most dangerous place to have extra weight is around the stomach.
No problem there for me. It is in my hips.
No doubt about it. I'm a curvy woman!
So, if you remember, this dress is a size eight. - I think it is an old size eight - whatever that means, because most of my other clothes are a size ten.
What has happened with sizes?
When I was in school being a ten was perfectly acceptable. I fit right in with most of the other kids and none of us worried too much about our weight.
When I got a bit older I wanted to be a size eight, and most of the time I was able to be a small or medium or eight and it suited me just fine.
Now girls are working toward being a size 0
0.
I don't even know what that looks like in real life. On TV you see the girls so skinny, but you know the TV makes them look heavier so they must be really super skinny and I can't stand it.
I like my curves.
So I'm just trying to get back to a healthy weight - for me.
I want to feel good and have a nice quality of life - be able to ski and run around and go down the toddler slide at the pool with K.
Just be a normal mom.
I'm almost there!
(weight wise that is).
How about you?
