After a being a week awash with emotion, regurgitating history, and being introduced to parts of myself I wouldn’t have known if they’d walked up (on my very own legs, even) and bitten me on the butt, it’s time for something lighter.

Maybe even pretty.

I posted a photo of my garden’s Ent not long ago. I’ve been feeling proud, and more than a little special, that one of my trees decided to take this form … after all, how many people have a one of these things in daily view?

I’ve spent no little time looking for deeper significance.

Is he trying to tell me something?

What is he pointing toward with that finger at the end of his limb? Is he trying to lead me to a lost treasure? Warn me away from some danger? Remind me of the significance of life itself?

Blah, blah, blah (as Sam would say) …

Then a friend send me this photo that’s been going around the Internet.

Hmmmmm.

My Ent’s looking pretty lame now, isn’t he?
