Ok, I just heard the news, Older (but very hot) mom Madonna is planning on adopting!

Word on the street is that Madonna is planning on adopting a baby to add to her family.

Madge, who is married to film director Guy Ritchie, already has two children, Lourdes, 9 and Rocco, 5.

According to Handbag.com, Madge and Ritchie have already begun the adopting process, and are hoping to adopt a baby from Vista del Mar, California.

I had to get right on this blog and be the first,(Ok, more like the 10,000th person) to report it.

I have no idea if this is the real scoop or just gossip, but hey, it is intriguing, - if you like Madonna that is.

It's not that I like Madonna, or dislike her, but you see, its just that we are the same age. I forget when her birthday is, but we are forty seven at the same time this year.

I think she is probably a good parent, but we have different ideas on parenthood. She is a lot more conservative than I am.

Awhile back, National Public Radio aired the views of a concerned mother who was taking a stand against the excesses of the popular culture for children.

As a young single adult, this woman reveled in edgy music videos and the freedom of living without inhibition. But as a married mother of two children, ages 2 and 8, she has become critical of a popular culture that undermines her efforts to instill a strong moral sense in her children. So now she bans television and screens all videos before her children are allowed to watch.

"I try to stress what is important in life," she said, "not just the surface. I encourage my daughter to work on the inside, not just the outside."

I just don't have the effort required to ban TV.
