My Valentines

I am SUCH a lucky woman!

As an example of why this is so, here's my morning:

Mark hauled the kids downstairs, managing to do so without waking me, fixed them their tea, and boiled a couple of eggs for Sam's midmorning school snack. Once the sun was well up, he took them for a stroll around our garden.

Just before he was to leave for work, the three of them came upstairs.

"Happy Valentine's Day!" were the first words I heard, and a bouquet of flowers in the hands of my darling son was my first sight of the day.

"We picked them for you, Mom!"

Does it get better than this?

I 'd say you do qualify for lucky with a Valentine's Day beginning like that! Happy Valentine's Day!

Plus, I got a photo of my granddaughter in the car on her way to school from my daughter's new blackberry. How cool is that?

Thanks, Jan, and a Happy Valentine's Day to you.

My youngest son and I have kind of a unique Valentines Day gift. It was four years ago today that we began our adoption. He was 13 and I was a lot older than 13. Miracles really do happen.

John,
Yes, they do! Congratulations on your miracle, and Happy Valentine's Day.

I heart the photo. Is it my imagination or has CJ just gone through a growth spurt? She looks "all growed up."

My hubby arrived home with flowers, a card, and Godiva chocolates after two delayed flights and having to dig his car out at the airport parking lot. Got to love the guy! Chocolates all gone...small box...really...

Lisa,
Yep, growth has happened. I can't seem to stop it. Darn!

Good hubby! Good hubby!
