Don’t ask me how, but I’ve managed to get through all the Holidays – Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year without putting on weight.
Really!
I ate everything I wanted, and haven’t worked out for two weeks, and still I’m doing ok. Of course, I have not lost weight either, but I still find that I am joyous and grateful not to have to loose 1 or 2 or 5 pounds more.
This year I really want to work out four times per week and eat healthy. I say that every year, and don’t really stick to it, although I’ve get part way there. I’m not sure what is holding me back other than I just haven’t committed all the way – doing whatever it takes to make it happen.
My three top weight loss goals for 2007 are this:
Get my eating program in line by meal planning better. This seems like such a simple thing, but sometimes I don’t plan meals, and I look up and it is five o’clock and I have no idea what I’m doing for dinner. That doesn’t make the best lifestyle for healthy eating.
I’m going to work with a nutritionist this year though – I know a really good one that will help me with the right balance of supplements so that I am actually absorbing the nutrients I need, and therefore curbing cravings.
Try to get in three yoga workouts per week instead of two. My gym only offers two when I can go, but I have a DVD that I plan to put on my iPod and do the other time by myself. I’ll still do it in the Gym so I have daycare, but I won’t be in a class.
If I can do those three things, it will be a great year health wise, and they are pretty easy steps for me.
What about you? Anyone else have health goals?
