Well, I haven't posted here on the Older Parent Adoption Blog for a couple of days because I have been having a devil of a time coming up with a topic that seems worth writing about. All I seem to keep coming back to is that a)I am an adoptive parent, b)I am old c) that makes me an older adoptive parent. Okay, so? And?
I know I could not have blogged about everything there is to blog about on this topic, but that's how I am feeling. I have written short posts. Longs posts. Funny posts. Serious posts. Posts with information and links that I thought were useful. Sarcastic posts. Posts referring to other blogs and other posts. I have written about the pros. I have written about the cons.
There have been posts on adopting older children if you're an older parent (Kudos to Michelle for her take on this in her last post). There have been posts on adopting younger children if you're an older parent. I have written posts about having less energy as an older parent. I have written posts about the importance of maintaining your health as an older parent so that you can off-set the less energy piece.
Heck I have even written about plastic surgery and older parent adoption! Now there's a stretch for you, but somehow it actually made sense by the time I was done with my rambling thoughts about it all.
Honestly, what else is there to say about older parent adoption? Lots I know, but can somebody out there give me a hint?
